Hair loss in women can be caused by a variety of issues including a diet lacking in proper nutrients, illness, some medications, your genetics and most common of all hair loss can be a direct result of stress.

In fact, hair loss in women as a result of stress is quite serious as it can be irreversible.  Whatever the reason may be for the loss, in most cases it is likely to be a very distressing experience for the person living with it.

Most people in this situation seek out treatment for the problem.  Consequently, there are a wide range of hair loss potions and lotions available in the marketplace.  Many of these products are organic and contain essential oils and plant extracts rather than harsh and/or harmful chemicals.  Flowers and herbs such as rosemary, nettle, kelp, sage, burdock root, oat-straw and even cayenne pepper can be found in most hair loss remedies.  Now in my opinion there is nothing wrong with using these preparations but if an individual has lost hair due to a lack of nutrition then it is unlikely the product will have any lasting effect.

It is therefore absolutely essential that before any treatment is started the reason for the loss is properly diagnosed.  A failure to identify the problem will in all likelihood nullify any potential for successfully encouraging re-growth of hair for the victim.

Diagnosing the cause of your hair loss is not really that difficult to do.  If you think about it, an honest review of your lifestyle will probably provide you with the answer in no time.  If you live in a state of constant stress as a result of your job or some other difficult life challenges, then the chances are your body is basically trying to communicate its state of distress and you need to pay attention and try to reduce the tension as much as you can.

Consider that if your stress levels are so great that your hair is falling out, then, the damage being done to you within will also probably be quite severe, for example your blood pressure could be rising to dangerous levels.  If this should actually be the case, losing your hair is probably the least of your problems.  Under these circumstances you ought to seek professional medical advice and assistance.

If however, you are not under any undue stresses or strains in your daily life, then you must consider your age, as your hair loss could be being hormonally and/or nutritionally triggered.  In either case, maintaining a good diet and taking vitamins and supplements should definitely produce some improvement in your situation.  Once your body is getting the nutrients it needs in order to function properly, it is likely that your symptoms will decrease or even disappear altogether.

In my opinion, and therefore this is very much up for being shot down in flames by any reader who wishes to challenge it, most physical illness and issues arise from poor diet and nutrition.  People don’t seem to understand that if they feed themselves on substandard low quality stuff that they will get back a substandard low quality performance from their physical bodies.

If you failed to put the correct fuel in your car you would not be surprised if its performance was less than it should be, so why do you expect your body to work when the fuel you give it is totally free of any nutritional goodness?

For hair loss in women whose lifestyle is not stressed or hormonally imbalanced and who know that their diet and nutrition is up to scratch, may potentially find success using some of the available hair remedies.  Increasing their intake of vitamins and minerals may also help as they maybe a little low on some trace elements etc which could be creating the problem.

I feel it is also be worth pointing out here that it is now possible to send away a couple of strands of hair and receive a report detailing your state of health and even diagnosing health issues you may not have known you had.  This would indicate that your hair is directly affected by the health of your body.  If therefore, your hair is falling out, it follows that you could be suffering from an underlying health issue and that the problem is not isolated to the scalp area.

Hair loss in women and men is an upsetting experience for the individual.   However, before spending money on lotions and potions to try to fix the problem, take a good look at your lifestyle, age, diet and nutrition.  Once you have excluded stress or any underlying illness, you may find that money spent on a good course of vitamins and minerals will sort out the issue a lot quicker than any lotions and potions you could buy.
